It's humbling to get to February and feel the weeks moving by without much progress on the larger swings of finishing this house. but it has been a lesson in recognizing the small things that end up feeling like giant leaps. Like door knobs. We’ve never had door knobs before which is silly to admit. In our last house we had chunks of wood or make shift knobs that we would pull the doors shut with, latch from the inside, baton down the hatches if you will. No standard lock, never a key. So this feels celebratory to say the least, to have knobs that turn and doors that lock, I may even go buy a key chain for our singular key.
