September - Part 2

We continued our indigo processing this week. It took longer than we wanted, as i mentioned before, fall always has a way of scattering our attention in a million directions.. More than once I catapulted myself out of bed, convinced we had left the pigment in the water too long (we did, in fact, over-ferment our large cooler of indigo…too devastating to get into here, so i’ll just say: WE FUCKED UP). Thankfully, this smaller batch pulled an incredible amount of pigment (I’m still filtering as I write this, the drip-drip of liquid in the background). It will be more than enough for what we need it for, though you’ll have to wait to see exactly what that is…
